Head Lice Advice Please
Those of you who have dealt with the super strain of parasites (seriously, head lice can survive up to 10 hours in a freezer, humans would succumb after three hours); is it easier to remove eggs and nits from damp hair or dry hair? I can't decide.
I'd say wet. Unless your kids have sensory issues, in which case I'd say dry, unless you're wearing earplugs or partaking of some substance that allows you to remain unbothered by screaming.
Seriously, I wish I could come over with a set of flowered shower caps and a case of beer.
(But, uh, I'd probably leave them at the door. I'm not THAT good a friend.)

If I remember correctly, it was most effective to do it when the hair was still olive oil-y from the nightly dousing. I might not remember correctly though, as I seem to have blocked out the experience. Let me see. . . one week before Christmas . . .three kids and myself, all with long hair . . . Oh, crap. It's all coming back to me. I recommend you just shave the kids' heads and go live in a hotel for a month. It would be easier. Poor you.

Wet, definitely. Naturally the only member of my family ever to have them always has long hair when they hit.

HAve you heard of those folks people pay to delouse their kids' hair? It's like a thousand bucks...
I'm so so so so so sorry for you... and I really don't have any suggestions.
